This Quarry Bank Mill Family Lifestyle Photography session meant I had visted Quarry Bank Mill quite a lot in short space of time, lot’s of families are choosing this location for it’s varied landscape.. This time, it’s Emily, Eddie & little Jasper. We met up in the car park quite early so the sun was quite low in the sky and giving a gorgeous golden glow. We set off through Styal Village and past the lovely old workers cottages. from there the path through the cornfield connects the cottages to the mill. This is the walk the hundreds of workers made everyday from home to work. With the Apprentice House still closed we used the garden and allotment for a few photos. Little Jasper was a bundle of fun as he explored the area. From here, we then went towards the mill passing the owners grand house on the way. You might have guessed from the photos, it was actually Christmas at the time of this photo shoot, with a gorgeous Christmas tree by the cottages near the mill.
We then moved onto the formal garden and climbed up high until we reached the upper gardens and newly restored glasshouse. From here we ended up back at the workers cottages in the village. Little Jasper was as good as gold but happy to change his new fox wellies in the car for something warmer.
Here’s a few photos from the day.
