Fletcher Moss Lifestyle Photography – Emma, James, Seb & Teddy

Fletcher Moss Lifestyle Photography

It’s been a little while since I photographed at Fletcher Moss Gardens, what a stunning location it is. Set back from the main Didsbury Road in this South Manchester suburb, it’s easy to miss but well worth a visit. Backdrops galore at every turn. Emma & James had been given one of my photo shoot vouchers for a present so we set the date and met up on a gorgeous spring day. Little Seb & Teddy didn’t need much encouragement to soon start exploring. How cute does Teddy look in these photos? We started off at the entrance gates and then strolled down to the gardens. We then took the woodland walk into Stenner Woods. This is a beautiful area, full of wildlife and lots of things for the kids to see. It ends with the amazing sight of Poplar Avenue. This is now a wide path flanked by the most amazing Poplar trees, it was once an avenue to Stenner farm which is no longer there. After ending up where we started from it was time for our goodbyes and I think the boys slept well that night after all that fresh air and exercise.

A little note from Emma

“Hi Barry,

Oh my goodness.  Sitting with a beer after a lovely sunny day and what a treat to be able to view our gallery.

Thank you so much for these images and for all your hard work on the day.  It was great to meet you and we found the session incredibly relaxed right from the off, you put us at ease straightaway.  It felt a lot like we were just on a walk with friends in the park yet you managed to take some brilliant shots.  We are so happy with the results, you managed to capture both our boys personalities exactly as they are at the moment which is fab!

Thank you for the link to share these with others.  The grandparents will be impressed”

A little more about Fletcher Moss Gardens

These botanical gardens in the suburb of Didsbury were carefully restored in 2011 after falling into disrepair. The nature trail is full of strikingly beautiful plants and rare trees as well as an abundance of wildlife. Entrance to the gardens is free, and there are monthly lunchtime walks you can attend, so check their website for details. As well as the gardens, the park is also home to tennis courts and football pitches so there’s plenty of space where you can stretch and exercise. One thing to look out for are the ring-necked parakeets all around the park and surrounding areas, particularly in Stenner Woods.
