Amy & Adam should have been married last weekend but this pesky virus got in the way. They are now having to wait almost a full 12 months until the big day finally arrives. I met up with them late last year in Lyme Park for this Pre Wedding Photography in Cheshire session. My usual route in Lyme Park is to start in the courtyard of Lyme Hall and then take a walk up to The Cage and back, it’s very rugged and always photographs well. Amy and Adam though had asked to take another route which led to the The Lantern, which is a 3 storey structure that dates back to 1580, the views are amazing, all the way over Cheshire, Manchester.
I’d only been there once before on another pre wedding shoot the month before, so had an idea what to expect. It’s a steep walk away from Lyme Hall and up through the woods, over a couple of stiles and The Lantern comes into view. Apparently Lyme’s famous red deer herd are close by but we didn’t spot any of them on this outing. On the way back though, we spot a couple of the highland cattle in the distance.
Amy & Adam will eventually get married next April near Chester at The Grosvenor Pulford Hotel & Spa. Can’t wait to start the wedding photography for that but in the meantime you’ll have to make do with the pre wedding photos, roll on 2021!
