Cheshire Family Photo Shoot – Quarry Bank Mill

In this Cheshire Family Photo Shoot, Melissa asked me to photograph her family. Eagle eyed viewers of the blog will recognise her and her husband Dan as they’d had another family photo shoot here at Quarry Bank Mill around 18 months ago. This time around though, there were some new additions, including Melissa’s new daughter plus her sister, her daughters and her mum and dad.

Styal Village Photography

I love photographing at Quarry Bank Mill as you also get Styal Village on the doorstep, which adds dozens more backdrops to the photos. As usual we met up in the village and then made our way through the corn field and into the Apprentice House gardens and allotments. From there we took the path down to Quarry Bank House and onto the mill itself. We took the bridge over the river where at the back, the views of the mill are stunning and you really get a scale of how big it is. From there we retraced our steps back to the village and used some of the mill workers cottages and gardens in our photos.

Lifestyle Photography in Cheshire

As you can see from the photos, it was a little foggy when we started and this just added to the atmosphere at Styal. The amount of different locations in this small area means you get a huge range of different looking photos, from the greenery around in the fields, to the industrial heritage around the mill and cottages.Cheshire Family Photo Shoot - Quarry Bank Mill Cheshire Family Photo Shoot - Quarry Bank Mill
