Stockport Family Portrait Photographer

Allison and her family wanted a huge photo shoot for their mum and dad’s 50th wedding anniversary. I love photographing big groups, you never know what is going to happen or how each person will react to the other. A family portrait out on location is a beautiful way to capture family life and preserve those special moments to look back on in years to come.

We chose Vernon Park as the setting for this one, we didn’t do our research though as it was also the setting for the Stockport Race For Life in next door Woodbank Park and the runners decided to come through into Vernon as well. It wasn’t too much of a disruption though, as the park is a good size and there’s lots of places to go to get away from the crowds.

The three boys were loving running around the park and even scaled the dozens of steps without having to catch their breath. When photographing children and families I always try to capture these moments, the fun, the excitement of being outdoors and the relationship between the whole family. I usually find that these photographs are often the ones we look back on. Photographing every day things will bring back so many memories in the future.

Here are some highlights from the shoot, I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed making them!
