It seemed like ages since I’d met Georgia & Rhys at Starbucks in Piccadilly Gardens. They then had to change their plans due to Covid but were determined to get married anyway. So I set off to St John the Baptist on the Wirral for the ceremony and then for the bride and groom shoot, we travelled to the coast at Heswall just outside Sheldrakes restaurant. Check this one out! The weather spoilt this Sheldrakes wedding photographer – Georgia & Rhys would no doubt agree. The blue skies, a few moody clouds, and the perfect couple to make the most of it.
VW Wedding Campervans
The day began at the church, where I met Rhys nervously waiting outside for this bride to be to arrive. Guest numbers had to be limited, as with all weddings at this time but the sun was out and the cavalcade of classic VW campervans (well two of them) trundled up the road, it was a sight to behold.
Beach Wedding Photo Shoot
After a wonderful intimate ceremony we all went outside to that sun. A few photos in the church gardens and then it was time for the bride and groom, me and a VW campervan to take the 20 minute drive to the beach. The spot we’d chosen was just outside Sheldrakes restaurant and as the weather was so good, many diners were sat on the terrace enjoying the views. Dark clouds began to loom at this point but luckily it stayed dry for our photo shoot with the boats as the backdrop.
Georgia & Rhys are a terrific couple with a fantastic group of family and friends. They made the most of the weather and the photo locations. Georgia & Rhys you made this day, thank you for having me along for the ride.
