Pre Wedding Photography Chester – Natural, Fun Engagement Photos

Pre Wedding Photography Chester

Most of my pre wedding photography takes place in Manchester or North Cheshire so it was nice to take a drive out to the beautiful old city of Chester to meet Davina & Tim. This was the first time I’d met them with only two weeks to go before their wedding at the MacDonald Portal Hotel in Tarporley, Cheshire. As usual Davina & Tim told me they didn’t really like having their photos taken but as usual both were complete naturals in front of the camera.

We met up on a very warm and sunny Easter Sunday under Chester’s famous clock tower. I thought it might have been quiet around the shopping area as no shops were open. I couldn’t have been more wrong. It was packed with locals and sightseers all taking advantage of the unusually warm spring weather. We headed up the steps onto the old Roman Walls and then took a walk along the Chester Rows, which are two-storey, half-timbered, medieval style buildings. With a  balcony, forming s a walkway that allows access to the shops located on the top storey. It’s a sort of Medieval Trafford Centre!

We then decided to go down to the river front, again, it was packed with people enjoying the sunshine and an ice cream or two. It didn’t faze Davina & Tim though, they just strolled through the crowds while I took the photos. Finally, we ended up at the old remains of the Roman Amphitheatre for a few final shots and where we said our goodbyes.

I can’t wait for this one on Saturday, The Portal Hotel is set between two golf courses and has some amazing grounds for the photos. It’s going to be a cracker.
