Hargate Hall Wedding Photography – Autumn Ceremony

Hargate Hall Wedding Photography for this Autumnal wedding

Lisa & Mike had one of the most relaxed weddings I have ever witnessed at Derbyshire’s premier DIY venue. It was my first visit here for this Hargate Hall wedding photography extravaganza, but I can’t wait to be back here again. Hargate Hall is known as a DIY wedding venue which means you have to arrange everything yourself but the huge advantage to this place is the onsite accommodation for you and your guests for the whole of the weekend.

Wedding photography for another photographer

Lisa & Mike are both keen photographers themselves, so that always adds a little bit of added pressure. But they are also one of the most laid back couples I have worked with. This late Autumnal wedding in Buxton shouldn’t by rights have had the weather we had, it was positively balmy out there. The sun was out and Lisa and the girls were happy walking around the grounds and over to the summer house without their coats on.

Late Autumn afternoon ceremony

The ceremony itself was at 2pm but the food wasn’t being served until 6pm. To stop anybody getting hungry, the cake cutting was done not long after the ceremony and everybody including myself tucked in to the home made treats. Mary Berry would have been in heaven, it was delicious.

Just before the gorgeous sun was due to set we made the most of the golden light on the Derbyshire hills with a walk around the grounds and country lanes.

Live music and some serious dance moves

Back at Hargate Hall the band were busy getting ready for the evening entertainment. They had everybody up on the dance floor with some great sounds but no one gave it more than Mike himself. Where he got his energy from I don’t know, he just didn’t stop. I left at 9pm but I reckon Mike would only have come off that dance floor when he was dragged off.
