Jo contacted me to photograph her family after seeing her friend’s photos on my website. That photo shoot was at Dunham Massey in Cheshire and Jo decided that Dunham was also the place for her. The weather was gloomy but thankfully the rain kept off long enough for a nice long walk throughout the parkland. It didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits which made this Cheshire portrait photography session a joy to photograph.

We met up at the cobbled courtyard just outside the gorgeous Cheshire mansion house. We set off on one of the main three paths by foot, bike and buggy! If we saw something interesting we’d stop for a look. That meant we stopped quite a lot. The ducks on the pond caught the children’s eye but it wasn’t too long until we set off again. We spotted the Deerhouse not far from the path, so with a bit of skilful off-roading from Jon with the buggy, we took a few shots in and round this old listed building. The deer respectfully moved on and didn’t photo bomb our pictures!

After joining the central path we headed back to the mansion again and to the large pond where the geese gave a disapproving hiss at my camera being so close to them. After rattling off a few more shots of the children, it was time to say our goodbyes and let the family go to the cafe for some well earned refreshments, but this was a Cheshire portrait photography session to remember.
