Belle Epoque Wedding Photographer – Great Budworth

Belle Epoque wedding photographer

Gaby & Jorge asked me to be their Belle Epoque wedding photographer. The Belle Epoque is in Knutsford and is one of the most stylish wedding venues in Cheshire. So I was over the moon to be involved in this one.

It was no ordinary wedding, Gaby is originally from Knutsford but now lives in Chile with Jorge. They met and fell in love in Glasgow! Are you keeping up with this? There was only one choice for their wedding venue and that was the Belle Epoque. Situated right in the heart of Knutsford on King Street it was built in 1907 and looks like no other building on the road. Inside there’s another surprise, the interior is decorated in an Art Nouveau style and if that wasn’t enough there’s quite a large garden and terraced area for you and your wedding guests to soak up the sun, and boy did we have some sun on this one.

Great Budworth Church Wedding

My day started in the beautiful little village of Great Budworth, where Gaby and the girls were getting ready. It was all very relaxed there with everybody looking forward to the day ahead. Great Budworth is tiny so I was able to walk from the house to the George & Dragon pub where Jorge and his family and friends were enjoying a last minute drink before the wedding ceremony. The ceremony itself was at St Mary and All Saints Church, also known as Great Budworth Church which was conveniently situated opposite the pub, what a result!

Even though a beautiful old Rolls Royce Silver Cloud was waiting outside, Gaby decided to walk from the house, through the village to the church. For anyone who knows Great Budworth, it’s quite a popular spot for sightseers, walkers and cyclists, so it was quite a spectacle watching these four ladies, dressed in their wedding attire laughing as they strolled through the beautiful lanes.

St Mary and All Saints Church is absolutely beautiful, the Vicar, Alec was wedding photographer friendly and gave me free rein to photograph where and what I wanted. After the service and obligatory group shots the guests headed off to Belle Epoque while, Gaby, Jorge and myself had a little walk around Great Budworth for the informal bride and groom shots.

A Few Latin Moves On The Dancefloor

After we arrived at Belle Epoque, the guests took advantage of the terrace and gardens to soak up some rays before the wedding breakfast and then it was party time. Some of those Chilean’s really knew how to move on the dance floor. Gaby & Jorge’s first dance was beautiful and it wasn’t long before their guests also joined in to get the party going.

Belle Epoque Wedding Photographer

I loved every minute of this Cheshire wedding, the guests, the locations, the weather but most of all Gaby & Jorge… It was pleasure to be part of your day, here’s a little slice of it in photos.
