I’d photographed Megan, David & their little ones a few months before at Dunham Massey and this photo shoot was a present for David’s Dad Ray. This time though was all about Ray, his children and the grandchildren. As a South Manchester Family Photographer – Fletcher Moss Park always hits the spot. There’s so much variety here, from the formal garden area to the woods and even a glimpse of the river Mersey.
Photography in the Woods
This photo shoot actually took place just before Christmas last year, so as you can imagine it was a little muddy and wet out there but at least it stayed dry. We met up at the lower gates to the park and then walked through the botanical gardens. After a few photos here we followed the raised wooden walkway through the woods, my favourite section of the park. Once through the woods the area opens out onto the river Mersey. Back through the woods again and you come to the Fletcher Moss’s crowning glory, Poplar Grove. A path flanked by dozens of poplar trees which provide the perfect backdrop for a family photography. This is where we ended the shoot and parted ways. But what a way a spend a Sunday morning.
