Set in the heart of Stockport, all this scenery makes for the perfect summer engagement shoot
I love Vernon Park, there’s so much history here and the backdrops overlooking the town centre and hills beyond make this the perfect engagement shoot location for a couple like Kerry and Mike. Their wedding is soon approaching, next month in fact, at The Deanwater Hotel in Cheshire.
Wedding bells on the horizon!
Kerry and Mike only live around the corner from the park and I’m only 10 minutes away so we met up after they’d finished work one weekday evening last week. These sessions allow us to get used to each other, it also gives us a chance to have a chat about the wedding plans and how things are coming along. It also gives me an insight into how the couple interact together and I don’t think we’ll have any problems in that department on the day itself!
Down hill, up steps!
For those not familiar with Vernon Park, it’s not the biggest of parks but it is hilly and walking around here for an hour can give you a good cardio work out. I must count the steps going back to the top of the park one day, but believe me, there’s a lot of them. The park was in full summer bloom which really added to the photos.
I tend to do these shoots very informally but thought we’d try a few closer shots and I think you’ll agree, they look pretty fantastic. I can’t wait for the wedding next month.
Have a look down below to see what we came up with…
Anyway, I love this summer engagement shoot, but please… take a look for yourself.
