Quarry Bank Mill Photo Shoot – The Winstanley Family

Bonita contacted me a couple of weeks ago to arrange this Quarry Bank Mill photo shoot. The family been given one of my photo shoot vouchers as a Christmas present. The weather forecast looked good and on my drive there the sun was out and I had shades on. We met up in Styal village surrounded by the workers cottages, thatched houses, cobbled roads and lovely old chapels.

Styal Village

We walked out of the village, through the fields and down to the mill itself. Little Evelyn couldn’t stop smiling and laughing as I was snapping away. Six month old Jackson didn’t know what to make of the attention and gave me a few inquisitive looks.

As we made our way past the mill I felt the odd spot of rain on my early warning system (my head that is), then it started to drizzle and then it started to rain harder. Luckily we dived into the cafe, which was quite close by to keep dry. After about 15 minutes, the dark clouds passed over, the sun reappeared and we carried on with our walk.

Taking the path around the rear of the mill we then made our way back to the village and used the old cottages as our backdrop. Then it was time to say our goodbyes and for me to begin editing the photos.

Here’s a few from the day, all delivered in a beautiful online gallery. If you’d like your own Quarry Bank Mill Lifestyle photo shoot why not get in touch and we can set a date. Take a look at the family portrait page for more details.
