Manchester Town Hall Wedding Photographer & The Restaurant Bar & Grill Wedding

Wow, what a day this was. I don’t do many weddings like this one. I hadn’t met Jen or Ross until just before the ceremony so had no idea what they looked like. Fortunately Ross rang me as I was sat in Starbucks, opposite the Town Hall having a coffee. He and the boys had decided to have a little pre wedding drink in Alberts Chop House on Albert Square. I made my way over there to take photos of everyone having a good time before we moved onto Albert Square where the Manchester International Festival was taking place. After a few more drinks and what looked like some excellent food, it was time for the guests to take their place in the Town Hall.

Wedding Photographer at Manchester Town Hall

This is probably Manchester’s finest building and it’s most well known. It’s always a pleasure photographing a wedding there. When the guests were seated, I went downstairs to meet Jen and her father. As the MI festival had taken over Albert Square we entered Mancheste Town Hall from the Cooper Street entrance.  The bride to be arrived in the most fantastic Rolls Royce, pure style. Jen looked stunning and you could see how proud her dad was of her.

Wedding ceremony and reception drinks

After the ceremony which was full of laughs, it was time for the obligatory group shots which we shot at Manchester Town Hall. Jen and Ross didn’t want any staged photos so they had a little walk through the beautiful stone archways on St Peters Square while I snapped away.

Wedding reception at The Restaurant Bar and Grill

After a little ride around the city centre in the Rolls, Jen and Ross arrived at The Restaurant Bar and Grill which is just around the corner from the Town Hall on John Dalton Street. Drinks on the terrace followed, then a surprise for Jen and Ross in the shape of the most fantastic wedding cake I have ever seen. After the wedding breakfast came the speeches and then it was my time to leave. What a great day, a shorter one than normal but so lovely to be part of . Here are just a few of my favourite photos from their wedding day, hope you like.

Thank you Barry you really captured the day despite never having met any of us prior to the wedding.
The recommendation given by Stephen & Emma ( you did a couple of informal family shoots for them) was not misplaced.
Have recommended you already to others & will continue to do so.
Once again a big big thank you

Thank you Anne, it was a real pleasure and privilege to be a part of it.
