Manchester city centre has some lovely locations for a photo shoot. This Manchester engagement shoot saw Louise & Steve  in and around the Castlefield area of the city. There’s so much incredible architecture in this area from the viaducts, canals and locks with their stunning modern and old bridges to the old mills now converted to offices and apartments.

We met up at 11am which is a good time for a photo shoot in a busy area like this, any longer and the amount of people would have increased making it difficult to get nice clean shots without people in the background.

In just over three weeks I’ll be photographing Louise & Steve’s wedding at Peckforton Castle. Can’t wait for this one as the last time I was at Peckforton in February last year, the weather wasn’t kind to us at all so fingers crossed we’ll actually manage to get outside this time.

Can’t wait for the wedding with these two so keep checking the blog for their photos.

Dukes 92 is a well known bar in this area and named after the lock in this photo. Yes you guessed it, it’s Dukes Lock number 92.

Love this cast iron bridge, you’d think it was Victorian but it is in fact from 1990.

Louise & Steve did well to stay still on this bridge while I took the photo, it moves up and down as people are walking over it.

This shot is outside the Roman fort of Mamucium or Mancunium, I wonder where the name Manchester came from?
