Yesterday I spent a fantastic day with Jayne and Phil who were married at St Agnes Church in Reddish, Stockport. You might remember Jayne and Phil from a recent blog post showing their Manchester engagement photography shoot at Debdale Park.
The weather was fantastic with blue skies and sun. The Vicar, Clive, was a bit of a character and the ceremony itself was quite unconventional. After the group shots at the church, I followed the wedding car up to Vernon Park for the bride and groom portraits. Vernon Park is the oldest public park in Stockport and retains most of its Victorian/Edwardian features, having benefited from a Heritage Lottery grant of 1.6 million pounds. After our stroll around the park it was back in the car and off to Huffy’s Cafe Bar and Restaurant in Great Underbank, Stockport for the buffet and live entertainment. Huffy’s used to be the Three Shires pub and is well known in Stockport. Its roots can be traced back to 1580 and has been used for all manner of trades before becoming a pub. I left after photographing the speeches and first dance (and after eating, thanks Jayne and Phil) but was privileged to be part of such a special day. Good luck Jayne and Phil.

Here’s a few from the wedding day, hope you like them. If you are looking for Huffys wedding photography then please get in touch for a chat about your plans.
