Festival House wedding photography
Less than an hour from Manchester
and one of my favourite places for photography,
it’s Blackpool. Festival House
is situated on the promenade right beside the North Pier. The building itself is pretty impressive and very distinctive; it’s probably the only gold building I know. Have your wedding in the Tower View Room, which overlooks the promenade, the famous tower and the comedy carpet. After the wedding, you and your wedding guests can go out on the terrace, which has stunning views of the beach, sea and beyond. What could be nicer than using a stunning sunset for your wedding photography backdrop?
North Pier itself presents lots more photography opportunities and for brides (and grooms) who don’t fancy the walk to the end a golf buggy can be used to transport you. The North Pier was opened in 1863 and parts of it look like it’s never been painted since, but this all adds to the appeal, shabby chic I think they call it nowadays! At the end of the pier is a two tier ‘Venetian carousel’ this would make a fantastic prop for your wedding photography.
Check out the blog next weekend as I’ll have photographs of Abbie and Stacey’s engagement shoot at Fletcher Moss Botanical Gardens in Didsbury, Manchester.
