FAQ's

ARE YOU A FULL OR PART TIME PHOTOGRAPHER?

Like most wedding photographers, I started photographing weddings alongside my day job but as the bookings increased I took the plunge to become full time in December 2016.

DO YOU DO GROUP SHOTS?
Yes, we can set aside some time for family group shots, usually about 20 minutes will be enough for 10 group shots and that will leave us enough time for the couple photo shoot.

I HATE HAVING MY PHOTO TAKEN
Most of my couples tell me that, but I photograph in such a way that you won't be posing for the camera and you'll hardly know I'm there. If you are still worried an engagement shoot (see below) is a nice introduction to the camera and me! I’ll just guide you along and will keep things fun, natural and relaxed.

HOW LONG IS A FULL DAY?
I usually start around 2 hours before the start of the ceremony and then I’m there all day and evening until just after the first dance.

WHAT IS AN ENGAGEMENT SHOOT?
A pre wedding shoot will give you an opportunity to get to know me and get you used to being in front of the camera, in preparation for your wedding day. You’ll also end up with some lovely portrait photos ready to print or share with friends.

WHAT DO WE RECEIVE? You’ll receive the full high resolution digital files, each one fully edited and ready to print.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR THE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHS TO ARRIVE?
About 28 days, the processing of the photos is paramount to the quality produced and shouldn't be rushed. If you order an album, this can take longer.

HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL WE GET?
It all depends on the coverage you have booked, the longer I'm there then obviously the more photographs you'll receive, 500 is typical for a full day.

HOW DO WE BOOK?
Fill in the online form or ring direct on 07505 131 263 to check availability. We can have a chat about your requirements and then we can arrange to meet to talk about the details and if you like what you see, it’s just a case of paying a £150 booking fee to secure the date. The remaining balance is due a month before the wedding.

DO YOU TRAVEL?
Whilst most of my wedding photography work takes place in and around Manchester and Cheshire, I do travel further afield, so if you are getting married anywhere in the UK then let me know and I’ll see what I can do for you.

WHAT ABOUT ALBUMS?
Albums are available and I am happy to talk through the options with you. Many couples ask for a wedding album months after their wedding so it doesn't have to be ordered at the same time as your wedding photography. You are in complete control and choose the photos you want to be included.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU'RE ILL?
I personally know other photographers who I would call upon. Failing that, I am member of a North West wedding photographers group who are happy to take last minute referrals.

DO YOU HAVE BACK UP EQUIPMENT?
I always carry back up cameras plus replacement lenses and flash.

ARE YOU INSURED?
Yes, many wedding venues now insist that the photographer produces a certificate of public liability in order for them to take photographs on their premises.

DO WE HAVE TO FEED YOU?
No definitely not, I’m more than capable of providing for myself, so that’s one less thing for you to worry about.
