Family Photography in Cheshire

Family Photographer in Cheshire

Wow, what can I say about this one! You might recognise Emma, Steve and little Claudia as they’d previously had a family photo shoot at Dunham Massey in December. They were so happy with the results, they decided to have another one. This time they brought along Steve’s sister Suzanne, her partner Craig and daughter Eva.

We were supposed to meet at Heaton Park but discovered it was Park Life weekend so Emma chose Lyme Park in Cheshire. What a choice it turned out to be. I have done quite a few shoots here now at different times of the year and each season seems to bring something different to the table. We met up late in the afternoon and luckily the crowds of visitors had already started to leave. It meant we got the run of the grounds virtually to ourselves.

We started in the courtyard of the mansion house, the sun was shining, which was a miracle in itself as 30 minutes earlier it had been tipping down with rain. After a few shots here, we took the long path up to The Cage. As usual, it was blowing a force 9 gale up there. It was worth it though as the views over Manchester and Lancashire are breathtaking. We then headed back down to shelter from the wind and over to the pond and cafe area. Again the place was deserted which meant no one to get in the background of our shots.

Natural Family Portraits

After around an hour, little Claudia decided to let us know she’d had enough of modelling for the day. So it was time to head off back to the car park but I think you’ll agree we did a pretty good job of capturing some really beautiful moments with these two families. They wanted a full family portrait for Steve and Suzanne’s mum’s 70th birthday. I think we can tick that one off the birthday wish list.

Here’s a few for you to take a look at, hope you enjoy.
