Family photo shoot in the Cheshire countryside
Dunham Massey is one of my favourite places for a family photo shoot, so when Eleanor and Ryan suggested Dunham as the location for their Cheshire photo shoot, I couldn’t have been more happy. Ryan is Simon’s brother, who also had a family shoot with me earlier in the year, choosing Quarry Bank Mill for their photo location. Simon and Ryan’s mum had bought them a gift voucher each as Christmas presents.
Start early to avoid the crowds
We thought this tactic would work but Dunham is a popular place in the school holidays and hundreds of other people had the same idea as us to get out in the morning sun for some fresh air. The park is so big though, that it isn’t really a problem and you can soon wander around to find quiet spots away from prying eyes. We commented on how polite everyone here is and you are greeted with a cheery good morning by everyone you pass.
Time for snacks
As usual, the little ones respond well to bribery in the form of snacks and that kept little Harriet quite happy as we made our way around to the Deer House. Unusually it was surrounded by deer this time, but they were more interested in eating the grass than us and we just carried on with our photos.

Unlike other studios, you will receive a huge selection of high resolution images in a downloadable gallery, ready to print and make canvases etc. I won’t try and sell you frames and at exorbitant prices but of course frames and canvases are available to buy if you wish.
