Engagement photography Etherow Country Park
Etherow country park is located in Compstall just on the outskirts of Stockport near Marple Bridge. Claire and Michael get married next month in Glossop and their outdoor ceremony will be a Handfasting which is a symbolic marriage ceremony, or ritual, and is believed to date back thousands of years. There’s lots of differences between a handfasting and modern marriage so I am really looking forward to this one.

Claire told me she didn’t like having her photo taken, Michael wasn’t bothered so we set off from the car park and kept this one as natural as possible with just a guidance but strictly no posing. This park really is a beautiful place to photograph and is on the site of an old cotton mill. The huge lake is also the home of Etherow sailing club and also used by Etherow model boat club if that sort of thing floats your boat (pardon the pun).
Engagement photography with no posing
We met up on a quiet Monday morning so had most of the park to ourselves. The sun was out and it wasn’t too chilly either. After a walk around the perimeter of the lake we ended up back at the car park where we’d met and we said our goodbyes.
