Modern, fun & colourful wedding photography
This Cheshire family photo shoot took place after Emma was put in touch with me by her friend Sophie, who I photographed at Lyme Park last month. The weather was fantastic, even though we are now into winter, the autumn colours and leaves were still in force around Dunham Massey in Cheshire. Emma and her husband Steve brought along 10 month old Claudia for the shoot.
Dunham Massey takes some beating for a photo shoot like this. It’s enormous and has nearly 200 acres of parkland to discover. Parts of it are not open to the public though and are cordoned off for the herd of fallow deer. The deer do come out of their sanctuary though and are a common sight along the paths and green land as you’ll see in the photos below.
The park is run by the National Trust and is kept in tip top condition by the rangers and the rest of the NT staff. The paths are easy to access when you have to bring along a buggy for the little ones.
As usual, this shoot just started with a walk around the park. Claudia loved the attention and made the perfect model. We walked around two of the main paths in the park and stopped off whenever we saw anything interesting, such as the duck pond and the deer shelter. Even though we started at 10.30, the park was soon filling up fast with visitors out for their early morning constitutional. But as I said earlier, it’s a huge space and easy to get away from the crowds, which is just what you need for a photo shoot like this.
So here is a selection of what we came up with, hope you enjoy looking through them.
