Cheshire Family Lifestyle Shoot in Dunham Massey
Another week and another Cheshire Family Lifestyle Shoot in Dunham Massey. I seem to photograph in Dunham more than any other location, it shouldn’t be a surprise though as it is a stunning spot whether for photos or just a day out with family.
Jo had seen my previous work here and wanted a slice of the action for her family so as usual we met up in the courtyard and then set off on our photographic journey.
Around the courtyard are quite a few beautiful spots for photographs, the old stables which have now been converted to a restaurant have real character, the old bricks give a rustic feel to the photos. Around the corner are the stone steps which were originally used for riders to mount their horses, but now they make a fantastic photo opportunity. Next, we moved around to the old watermill which still has a working water wheel inside. No photos inside though as it really is dark in there, outside though, like the stable block, it is full of character.
We then set off on the the last of the three main paths, off the path is a small winding track to the old slaughter house. It’s usually very quiet around this area so no worries about photo bombers getting in our way. Then we carried along the track to another of the main paths. It was like walking through a jungle though, it was very over grown with bracken but thankfully we all made it out ok.
Fallow Deer in Dunham Massey
As we wandered along past the deer house, the area was surrounded by fallow deer, the children were mesmerised by them. We kept on going before meeting another small group of deer who weren’t bothered at all by the children watching and finally we ended up back in the courtyard again.
