A wet pre wedding shoot in Manchester
Last month I took the train and headed out into the rain for this pre wedding shoot in Manchester. Well that’s not strictly true, it was dry when I set off from Stockport. Rhonelle & Niina had travelled up for the weekend, from their home in London. Rhonelle is originally from South Africa and Niina from Finland. They know Manchester well and love it, so decided to tie the knot here next month at the fantastic Double Tree Hilton in Piccadilly.
It’s going to be an early start for me, the ceremony is at 11am so the bridal preps will begin about 9am. After the ceremony we have the Sky Lounge to ourselves. This is a rooftop garden high above the city and should provide us with some fab views.
Anyway, back to this Manchester pre wedding shoot. We started our walk around Castlefield and it was pretty quiet being a Monday afternoon. The clouds were looking mean and moody and this being Manchester, they didn’t need much encouragement to start releasing the good old Manchester drizzle. Fair play to Rhonelle and Niina though, they didn’t even flinch, they just carried on without an umbrella or rain coat in sight. We did find a little shelter under one of the viaducts though when the drizzle turned into heavier rain.
Luck was on our side though and the rain eased off as we carried on with our pre wedding session ending up at Dukes 92 where we had a chat about the wedding and a drink too. Porn Star Martini’s were the order of the day for the girls, diet Coke for me (well I was on duty).
Can’t wait for September and this wedding to come along, it’s going to be one not to miss, so keep checking out the blog for the full story.
Have you thought about the location for your engagement pre-wedding shoot yet?
