Well this was the last wedding of 2013 and what a day. Katie and Rob had chosen Hollin Hall Hotel in Bollington, Cheshire for their wedding. I started off photographing Rob and his two best men as they arrived in the car park. Katie had bought him a gorgeous watch as a surprise and wanted me to catch that before I headed upstairs to photograph the girls bridal prepararions where everyone was very chilled out.
The ceremony was lovely, with lots of tears, laughter (and that was just Rob) and a very funny reading from Katie’s mum. We had to photograph the big group shot on the grand staircase in the hallway as it was raining outside. Luckily, after we finished, the rain stopped and we managed to do the smaller group shots outside. Katie and Rob then joined me for a little stroll up the lane to take advantage of the gorgeous setting sun.
Later in the evening, after the meal (thanks for my meal by the way, very nice nom nom!) Chinese lanterns were set off, then it was time for the first dance, cake cutting and the wedding booth.
