Modern, fun & colourful wedding photography
Last week I met up with Debbi & Tom, who’s wedding is next week at Styal in Cheshire. They will get married at Norcliffe Chapel and then move onto Styal Lodge for the rest of the day. Styal Lodge has some lovely grounds, but it would be a shame not to use the Styal Estate for some shots so we decided to meet up at Styal for their Cheshire engagement shoot.
Styal is such a stunning place for photos, with the Chapel itself, the cottages and of course Quarry Bank Mill. We took a walk around all of these locations and practically had the place to ourselves as there were hardly any other people around.
Here are some shots from the photo shoot, can’t wait for the wedding with these two next week so roll on the 29th.
Taking a walk in the foot steps of the mill apprentices, around Southern Woods.
This is Quarry Bank Mill built in 1784 and housed the largest water wheel in Europe that powered the cotton spinning machines.
Before the mill was built, there were a few farm buildings and cottages, but Samuel Greg built more cottages to house the mill workers and the Styal Estate was born. In 1939, the estate was handed over to the National Trust.
